Helen Au is a solicitor in the Hong Kong office of Dentons. Before joining the firm, Helen was a in-house counsel for a local airline. Helen was trained and practiced as an associate with a well-recognised local law firm in Hong Kong. Helen specialises in litigation and dispute resolution including contractual disputes, employment disputes, shareholders/directors disputes, corporate fraud and asset tracing. Helen also regularly advises on privacy, discrimination and competition law issues.

Helen also assisted clients who faced regulatory investigation or white collar crime charges.


  • Asset tracing in fraud related claims: acted for victims of international fraud and assisted in applications for Mareva injunctions, Norwich Pharmacal orders and asset tracing
  • Acted for receivers in an action for breach of directors' and receivers' duties
  • Handled contractual claims and customer disputes for a manufacturer of chemical products
  • Advised data user company on investigation by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data about potential breach of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance
  • Attended reconciliation meetings on behalf of a company with the complainant who lodged racial discrimination complaint with the Equal Opportunities Commission
